a Good Place to Live

I've been living at Shillito for several years. The great thing about this place is that it's within walking distance to all venues in the city. A 10 minute walk to either stadiums isn't bad. The office staff is friendly and cordial. If you have a work order in, it's pretty much fixed within a day. Now, let's talk about everything else. The sound transfer between units is terrible. I'm able to hear conversations in the next apartment. Money wasn't spent wisely in this arena. The rent is overpriced for what you get. Natural lighting is only good on the 2nd floor because of the windows. The only thing included is trash pickup. And we've finally gotten recycling after a year of begging management and only asking the main office. We finally have a choice in cable providers, Time Warner or Cincinnati Bell (the best choice). You have to be careful if you need to talk to the office management. If you catch the manager on a good day, things go well. But if she's in a bad mood for one reason or another (which is often) don't even bother approaching. The place above Walgreen offers a year of paid parking in the Gramercy garage otherwise it's ~$70/month. They normally hold socials every month except for November. The pool party in the summer is the highlight. Before renting here, I would ensure you get all the information you need. |
