The space is really cool - polished concrete floors, high ceilings and open space. But the price adds up. Not only is the rent higher downtown, but you pay a premium for parking (and you'll want a covered space - between $75-$100 a month, or your car will get vandalized), you pay gas, electric, water, and a fee for everything - pet rental, late rent payments (anything over 5 days), a $50 charge for getting locked out after hours, and your lease never goes month to month - so you have a very short window of time in which to move! And the hallways always smell like garbage from the trash chutes.
