Apartment Review
AKA The Woods of Turpin
Review Date: 3/14/2009
Reviewer: Anonymous

This place really has potential. Unfortunately, it has really gone down hill ion the 2 years I've been here. Despite its great location and "wooded view," The Woods of Turpin is essentially a run down, poorly managed complex. It has gotten to the point where people who have been here longer than I have and were happy then are now moving out. Noise is becoming a problem, as have obnoxious children playing in the stairways and around cars. We used to have a night watchman on grounds, but I have heard that the new manager gave him the boot. Now, since the manager is never there,we have no one to call to complain except for the police. It's not like they're not busy.... The grounds are awful at the Woods of Turpin. People throw garbage in the parking lots, and raccoons drag trash out of the dumpsters. None of it gets picked up. Maintenance is an issue here, as well. The condition of these buildings is just too bad for 2 guys to fix. I called in a problem 3 times for an outlet problem in the kitchen. After 2 months, I replaced it myself. One of the maintenance guys seemed to never do anything. He just drives around and ends up at the maintenance shop where his shiny black car sits. Wonder how much he gets paid.... It seems that the rent gets increased every year. That must be so they can afford to pay that maintenance guy and that mystery manager well. Maybe they should invest in some new clothes for the manager with that extra money. When I saw her walking with some people, she looked like a Goodwill clothes rack. She must be trying to pity people into renting from her. She just seems very unprofessional. My honest advice is to stay away. I am moving in a few weeks, and I can't wait.
