Apartment Review for Cincinnati Apartments Plus - Cincinnati, OH

I should have known from the start to avoid this management company. To start with I sublet the apartment and they charged me $100 transfer fee as well as the $50 processing fee. I really liked the apartment so I took it anyway. I traveled with my job and hardly lived in the apartment.So there was very little where and tear on the apartment itself. What service I needed from the management company was performed very badly. Most of the time they are very rude if not out right mean. After the original lease term was up Cincinnati apartments raised my rent over $70 a month and threatened to raise it more each month after that. To finish I was nervous about my security deposit because of the experiences I have had with them so I took another apartment a month early (Cinirents requires at least a two month notice to move if you do not provide it you sacrifice the whole deposit) just to give myself time to clean. I spent a week cleaning the place patching holes and steam cleaning the carpet. I when I received my security deposit (Late) I was charged $180 for not steam cleaning the carpet, $40 for a piece of tape left on one of the doors and $90 for a piece of tape on the ceiling. I took pictures of every room before I left just because I thought this will be a problem. My suggestion would be to avoid anything rented from this company. Also for any apartment owners I have talked to people who have been scammed by Cincinnati apartments because of outrageous fees.
