Apartment Review
This is supposed to be your home..Don't believ

I have rented from Aspen Village for almost 4 years. The first 2 years were great. I have 3 kids and they knew this when I started renting. I was honest about the fact that I needed a place to live quick and didn't have a lot of money for a place to live. My kids beds are in the huge master bedroom and I took the smaller bedroom. For the past two years they have done apartment inspections and said I had more people in my apartment than are on my lease, which is not true. Last year they constantly put notices on my door saying that I needed to clean my balcony off. The only thing I had on the balcony was a grill and two lawn chairs. What am I supposed to clean? This past year they did an apartment inspection and now they have given me 30 days to get out of my apartment with three kids and they still expected me to pay the current months rent. Seriously? The reason on the notice for terminating my month to month lease was that the owner of the apartment "wanted my apartment". What does that mean? I have been late with my rent 3 times in almost 4 years and my kids are well behaved and mannerable. I honestly think they want my apartment so they can charge some other sucker higher rent. They don't ever come and spray for bugs. We have roaches in our building and they are acting like this is some high class neighborhood. I have had my catalytic converter stolen twice and the only thing the staff can say is that they have Cincinnati police patrolling the parking lots all times of the day and night. I have seen one or two police cars in the almost 4 years I have lived here. I have stayed because the rent is cheap and its close to where I work. I guess they have given me the push I needed to find a better place to live. My kids will now be going to a much better school disrict and I have found a gorgeous townhome. Thanks Aspen for showing me that there are options out there for good people. Next time maybe they will appreciate a good tenant when the get them. I will say that Lindsey in the office has always been very nice and personable and for the area I was surprised how quiet the building I lived in was. So overall..I guess if this is just a temporary home..Not a bad place to live, but don't get too comfortable. I know several people that they have booted out for suspicious reasons with no proof. But, when you have kids and you are given notice to get out what else can you do?
