Apartment Review for The Villages At Symmes Crossing - Cincinnati, OH

When we first moved in, the carpet was filthy. I mean, disgusting. It smelled awful and was covered in crunchy, nasty stains. We had no place to go, so we move just our mattresses in until they “approved” the carpet to be replaced. Upon setting the mattresses on the dirty floor, little did we know what was to come. About a month after moving in, my husband’s arms and neck had little bite marks. It took us forever to connect it all, but eventually we learned that the apartment had been infested with carpet beetles, which made home in his mattress. We had to throw out our mattress and cover the rest of our things. They did bring out an exterminator and after six requested visits, they finally rid our place of the carpet beetles and pesky ants. I wish that was the extent of our problems. However, due to old windows and doors, we just had a $300 electric bill for an air conditioner we are told is “doing the best it can”. It is usually mid-80’s in our house with the AC pumping at full capacity. Our winter bills were not much better due to leeks in the doors/windows. Finally, the apartment below mine was broken into last night (August 2010). The patio doors are quite easy to jerk open. Ours has never locked. I had them make me a piece of wood to stick in it so we would not get our place broken into, or that my daughter could not wonder out. Do not move here if you have any type of class or desire for cleanliness. The main office may look nice, but the apartments are not. And as for the nice new pool, they never clean it. It’s filthy. They’ve never put out ash trays on the tables, so discarded cigarette butts float off the ground and into the already dirty pool. It’s a disgusting place.
